JMG OpenStreetMap DSGVO

JMG OpenStreetMap DSGVO brings help to embed OpenStreetMap without breaking GDPR rules. This plugin for Joomla! adds opt-in functionality to existing OpenStreetMap components and iframes. The plugin detects OpenStreetMap code on your website, informs users about privacy and asks for the user's consent.
Why do you need JMG OpenStreetMap DSGVO?
There are many reasons why you would want to use OpenStreetMap on a website. It helps users find your locations. Maps can make your website interactive and thereby improve user experience.
The problem is that the visitors get cookies (= third-party non-essential cookies) in their browser before having the chance to accept or refuse them, and actually they won’t get the chance to refuse them.
it's not allowed anymore to show an OpenStreetMap directly after loading a page. There needs to be an "Opt-In" for that. So we all need to show a hint like "Click to see the map" before the map connects to the OpenStreetMap.
JMG OpenStreetMap DSGVO brings help to embed Maps without breaking GDPR rules.
The explicit consent is as follows: The visitors land on the website and no non-essential cookies are sent to their browser. Visitors are requested to accept or reject the data protection notice. The map will only be sent to the browsers if the visitors accept it.
